Flat Roofing
Flat roofing can fall into many categories. The main ones that we install are single ply membranes, coatings, rolled roofing, and low sloped metal roofs. Depending on the roof slope, roof size, and building use is a great place to start when determine what type of roofing system you may need or want on your building.
Shingle Roofing
Roof shingles are tiles that interlock and overlap to channel water off of a sloped roof deck. Shingle roofs can be used in low sloped or steep sloped roof constructions but should not be used in flat roof situations. Many common types of shingle roofs are Asphalt, Clay, Metal, Wood, Rubber, and Slate.
Metal Roofing
Metal roofs come in many different colors, profiles/styles, and thicknesses but can be categorized into two main categories. The first being exposed fastener where you can see all of the fasteners holding the metal system to the roof structure. The second is a concealed fastener system where no fasteners should be visible on top of the metal system but concealed within the roofing system.
Gutter/Roof Drainage
Gutters are a form of roof drainage that run along the low end of a roof to collect water and divert it away from the structure. Other forms of roof drainage are roof drains, scuppers, and collection boxes. Depending on the roof size will depend on the size of gutter, size of downspout, and quantity of each that will be required for proper drainage.
Metal Fabrication
Our sheet metal department is ES1 Certified. We offer more than 35 colors in steel and aluminum, which include standard colors, metallic colors, and four colors to match stone. We also offer multiple metal options which are steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, anodized aluminum, zinc, and galvanized.
Wall/Soffit Panels
Wall panels and soffit panels are surface coverings. Wall and soffit panels can be used on the exterior to protect a structure from the elements, used in fence/enclosure builds, used under decks to divert water for expanded outdoor space, or used on the interior for aesthetics.

About A-J Roofing
A-J Roofing and Waterproofing Company is a family owned and operated business that was founded by Alan & Lori Jacobsen in May of 1983. A-J Roofing provides both commercial and residential services to the community. They specialize in new construction concentrating primarily in flat roofs and architectural metal roofs with all related flashing’s. A fully automated sheet metal shop enables precision fabrication both in-house and for other contractors. Along with the roofing and sheet metal is a commercial gutter machine enabling virtual maintenance-free guttering installation.
A-J Roofing has a highly trained group of technicians committed to excellence in doing the job right the first time.
